Whether you're preparing to sell or looking for ways to add value to your current home, here are 5 quick tips (often forgot about) that could make all the difference.
1. Upgrade your kitchen.
Kitchens will continue to be a multi-use area allowing for desks and additional counter space. New or slightly used appliances can be an affordable upgrade to your existing kitchen. Look for a great discount appliance store in your area. Often, you can get a next to brand new set for a bargain price and change the entire look of your kitchen. You could also consider cabinet refacing or painting the cabinets if that is an option.
It may be a good idea to call your local stone dealer and price replacing, existing counter tops...most manufacturers have stock items that are affordable. BUT, be sure to watch your budget when imagining your dream kitchen, you can easily go over and never see a return on investment.
2. Improve your outdoor space.

When homeowners are preparing to put their properties on the market, one aspect is usually foremost in their minds: money. Setting the asking price accurately can mean the difference between getting an offer quickly and having a house languish for months, drawing little interest.
With that in mind, it’s important that potential sellers block out a lot of the noise that often surrounds the intricate art and science of pricing. There are plenty of myths that may cause sellers to lose sleep at night as they attempt to separate fact from fiction.
The following are statements that can stand in the way of a successful sale.
1. ‘If we keep waiting, a better offer will come along!’
When sellers receive an offer from the first showing, they may be skeptical or hesitant to accept it, wondering if other prospective buyers would be inclined to pay more. Thoughts of potential bidding wars could cause sellers to want to wait and see who else falls for their place. But, rememb. ...

So, without lowering your asking price, what can you do to sell your home in a hurry? The following are 11 strategies that will help your property sell quickly without your wallet taking a heavy hit.
Few things detract from the beauty of a home quite like clutter. Though straightening and organizing is rarely the way most homeowners want to spend their days, it makes a huge difference. We’re not just talking about scrapping the junk mail either. Rid your entryways and mud rooms of extra coats, bags, and boots. Keep those countertops clear, and don’t forget to straighten up inside the kitch ...
